At what age do we stop following our dreams?
My dreams have not been fulfilled, however I see people who act like they have. Are they just settling for a melancholic life? Coming to the end of my degree I have to start thinking about the ‘real world’ – I do not want to - I have yet to follow the Inca Trail in Peru or let my eyes see the Temples of Bagan, beauty is out there not the four walls of my future office. The jobs being thrown at me offer 28 days a year for holidays, I would spend my other 337 days day dreaming of what could be. I need to find a job I can enjoy, a job that offers the world, a job that offers me comfort knowing I am not stuck, where will I find it? I do not know, but the quest will go on……I have dreams and I aim to fulfil them before the doldrums of life encompass me
I know I am going to die on my own, which is something you don’t realise until you are faced with that. You leave this world as you come into it, on your own. A sobering but profound thought to realise early in life
